19th Busan International Film Festival, which takes place in south Korea and is considered by many as the equivalent of Cannes in Asia, is holding a full day seminar on Mohsen Makhmalbaf and his works on 8th of October 2014.
The speakers of the seminar entitled "Mohsen Makhmalbaf And The Truth Of Cinema" are the experts in the field from six different countries across the globe. This seminar will start with a short welcome by Mohsen Makhmalbaf to the audience.
Mohsen Makhmalbaf’s latest film The President is also being screened in the Gala Presentation, a section devoted to the masters of world cinema, during the festival this year.
The documentary Daddy’s School by Hassan Solhjoo about Mohsen Makhmalbaf and his family’s film school will also be screened in the festival.
White Sparrow written by Mohsen Makhmalbaf and directed by Dilovar Sultonov is another film competing in the short film section of Busan Film Festival this year. The Tajik director Dilovar Sultonov was the assistant of Mohsen Makhmalbaf during the years he was residing in Tajikistan.
